Courses Recognized and Regulated by the Council
The Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council grants recognition to nursing institutions and conducts examinations strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Act:
Courses for which the Council grants Recognition & conducts Examinations
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife)
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery)
LHV (Lady Health Visitor)
DPN (Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing)
For the above courses, the Council is responsible for granting recognition & conducting theory and practical examinations and awarding certificates.

B.Sc. Nursing
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
M.Sc. Nursing
Other Degree and Higher Nursing Courses
For these programmes, the Council grants recognition to institutions and monitors compliance with prescribed standards; examinations are conducted by the respective Universities.
